PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION CHILDREN’S ANALYTICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS

Spring School

Is it possible to combine learning, warm meetings with colleagues, outdoor recreation, activities for children, interesting excursions, and master classes in one place at one time? Of course. At the spring school of Jungian child psychotherapy!

The first spring school took place on April 28-May 3, 2025, in the Zakarpattia region. It was an incredibly intense five days. Activities included:

  • A lecture by Jörg Rasche, “Manifestations of the symbolic in children’s creativity during the therapeutic process. A Jungian view of the symbolic function.”
  • Lecture with a presentation by Jörg Rasche, “Early love: child – mother – music. A psychoanalytic approach to Robert Schumann’s ‘Scenes from Childhood,’ Op. 15.”
  • Presentation by Oksana Zaleska: “Art as psychotherapy.”
  • Presentation by Yulia Larina: “Madonna and Child: In Search of Harmony. Transference and Countertransference in Child Psychotherapy.”
  • Presentation by Yulia Grushetska: “Therapeutic Setting, Manifestations of the Containing Function in Child Psychotherapy”
  • Serial drawing with Oksana Zaleska and Svitlana Snitko (resource practice for psychologists)
  • Social games with Svitlana Snitko and Oksana Zaleska (the game “Vidbyvna”) for adults and children.
  • Viewing of the Studio Ghibli cartoon “Spirited Away” with Dmytro Zalesky
  • Piano concert by Jörg Rasche
  • Vernissage and large open discussion group on the symbolism of drawings with Jörg Rasche
  • Spring fair with Oksana Zaleska
  • Clinical supervision groups
  • Discussion groups

There was also an opportunity to hike in the mountains, commune with nature, visit a cheese factory, see a lavender field, enjoy spa treatments, and eat delicious food at a restaurant, as the school was located in a quiet, cozy place in Transcarpathia, on the grounds of an eco-resort.
In the fourth year of the full-scale invasion, the school became a place of significant restoration and renewal. That is why PAChAP, in partnership with the Jungian Child Psychotherapy (JChP) project, plans to start a tradition and make it annual!
